Blue Matter Series (GameLit)

In the twenty-second century, human beings have figured out a way to transfer their minds to a crystalline substance called blue matter. This allows them, at last, to embark on decades-long interstellar journeys to new planets. Instead of hibernating en route, however, they live inside the game realm of Arkstead, where they are presented with fun and rewarding challenges intended to teach them how to colonize a new world.

For one woman, however, the experience isn’t a game. Tamsin Noonien was fooled once before by a virtual simulation so real that it had her believing she had been through a terrible loss. She didn’t volunteer the first time, and she certainly never would have agreed to go through that nightmare again. So when she suddenly finds herself shanghaied and living inside another simulation, she wants out.

In this seven-book series, Tam must learn to accept her new reality, let go of old grudges, forge new friendships, and become the hero others will need her to be if the human race is going to survive . . . in one form or another.
